In this role, you will participate in the full development lifecycle of LOQR's platform using modern backend technologies. You’ll contribute to the development of scalable, maintainable, and performant solutions.

  • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain modern backend solutions; 
  • Build REST APIs to integrate frontend and backend services;
  • Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and maintainability;
  • Design and maintain data models, pipelines, and integrations that support platform features and analytics;
  • Use GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and team collaboration;
  • Collaborate closely with backend, product, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features;
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and ensure cross-device responsiveness and accessibility.
  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in backend development with Node.js and Spring Boot;
  • Solid experience with Java/Kotlin;
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Junit, Selenium, Jest or others;
  • Experience working with REST APIs and modern architectural patterns;
  • Experience with databases like Mongodb, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL or SQL Server;
  • Experience working with data at scale: modeling, pipelines, and processing large or complex datasets;
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration from a backend perspective (e.g. serving models via APIs, working with data pipelines that feed AI systems);
  • Proactive with good organization skills;
  • Proficiency in version control systems like GitLab;
  • Knowledge of performance profiling and optimization techniques;
  • Autonomy, attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset;
  • Positive, ego-free attitude with ethical conduct and strong communication skills;
  • To be allocated to LOQR's headquarters (Felgueiras, Portugal), with a flexible remote work policy.
